Karl J. Findling, Owner of Oregon Pack Works, has been chosen as the new Conservation Director for Lands, for the Oregon Hunters Association.
His focus will be increasing and maintaining hunter access, land use, habitat programs and issues affecting hunters on all Oregon landscapes.

Last week,The House Committee on Natural Resources (Chaired by, Utah Senator, Rob Bishop--known to want Federal Lands turned over to the states) compromised with the Senior Minority Senator from Arizona, Ra'ul Grijvala, and voted to send the version to a vote in the House of Representatives.
By the time this is published, the deadline for reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), may have come and gone. Expiring September, 18, 2018, the LWCF was created on the heels of the Wilderness Act. It utilizes NO Taxpayer dollars to protect national parks, ensures access for hunting and fishing, open space purchases for playgrounds, sports fields, bike paths, hiking trails and much more—all on federal, state, local and private lands and waters.
The pace at which archery tackle is technologically changing boggles my mind. But, for me a Traditional Archer, a couple different types of bows, and the right arrow/broadhead set-up has been set-in-stone since 2005, when I was just one year past my first Traditional kill, using a 125Gr. two-blade Eclipse Broadhead (from my friend Blake's line of Broadheads), on a fine Mule Deer.
